COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS


In the early 1970's Grantham Construction started adding commercial projects to its portfolio. Some notable projects that Grantham Construction has been involved in include:
  • The renovation to the Lafayette County Courthouse in 1979 which included restoration of the Courtroom.
  • The Tourist Information center, a landmark on the Oxford square, which was an old building that was moved from the Kate Skipwith property and placed in its current location.
  • The renovation to Square Books on the Oxford Square, which includes its present balcony.
  • Addition to The USDA Soil Sedimentation Laboratory, a $1 Million project completed in 1987
  • The University of Mississippi Campus including renovations to Powers Hall, the Kate Skipwith Teaching Museum, Renovations to The Alumni Center Hotel, and Several Fraternities and Sororities
  • The Oxford-Lafayette Business and Industrial Complex, a Vo-Tech center for the Oxford and Lafayette County School System
  • The Oxford Enterprise Center completed in 2001, an Economic Development tool for recruiting new businesses to the area.
